I haven't done anything that requires money outside of the gift card we were given. That might be the first hurdle.

( peter isn't opposed to a little light thieving, he's just not strictly enamoured with doing it in the same town he's stuck in for the foreseeable — he'd been considering catching a bus (do they have public transport in an approximation of small town '80s america? he's not sure) or hitchiking to alderglen and then fingerquotes borrowing a car from a resident. with the technology (second fingerquotes) available forty-odd years in the to-him past and his quote-unquote skills, he thinks he'd be able to get away with it.

if not, well — it wouldn't be the first time he's had a run in with the law. )

Just don't ask too many questions and I promise you there are ways of making no money work.

Yes. I don't have a vehicle so I haven't gotten far, but heading west at least if there's a barrier for us to run into it isn't the stated city limits I was able to find out from the library here.

Small pacific northwest town a decade in the past? No, this particular instance is new. But in my world people with superpowers aren't unheard of and some ... get a little rowdy.

I mean, so far as I can tell, nah. I did black out and lose a chunk of time where theoretically anything could have happened to me, but I feel fine. Got all my fingers. No new scars.
