[ It's a lie, but Wren has family to protect, and is part of a legacy that made some unfortunate enemies. Even back home, the people that know the truth of them are a handful at most.

Not like they have to worry about powers outing them here, anyway. ]

Most people have thought I was joking or crazy when I mention masked vigilantes though. Does your world have them too? Please say I'm not the only one.

We do. We have heroes that are loved by countless people. Heroes that have saved the world more than once.

[She used to be a hero. Now, she's apparently "cursed," and she can't ignore the irony in that.]

Can I ask the names of some of them? Like, the big ticket 'everyone's heard of them' ones? You know, compare notes?

Captain America. Iron Man. Thor. The Hulk. Black Widow. Hawkeye.

[The OG Avengers. Wanda's heart feels heavy noting how many of those names belong to people that are gone.]

Any of those ring a bell?

[ Those sure sound like Superhero names alright, but ... no, none of them are familiar in the least bit. ]

Negative. Don't suppose Justice, the Raven, Athena, or Lady Vengeance mean anything to you?

[Never saw those names plastered on merchandise.]

No. I'm not familiar with them. Are they a team?

[Maybe they're another universe's Avengers? Either way, Wanda isn't terribly surprised. The multiverse is vast.]

They are. They're not all of Supergroup but they're kind of headliners for it. At least I can be sure they're not unique to my world now.

It's rare to find anything that's "unique" across the multiverse unless you have very bad luck.

A little. Even here, there's a different instance of a man from home. From a different universe.

Wait seriously? Does he know a different you from his own universe?

Yeah. We're not friends in either universe, but we're at least familiar.

Well, "What amounts to a stranger wearing the face of my best friend or ex girlfriend" wasn't something I had on my list of things to worry about before but I guess it's going on there now.

I don't know if I look like the Wanda he knows. Didn't ask. He doesn't look like the version of him I've seen.
